I was just wondering because if it didn't use to always be like this, I wonder if I signed my contract before the throttling got started, do I still have unlimited data? Or would my data plan have changed to the throttled one?
IF tmobile was TRULY unlimited AND you signed the contract BEFORE the whole trottle started then you should be grandfathered to have truly unlimited but if it was after then you just have to deal with it
Ah, I see then. So if I did get a truly unlimited, next year once I resign a contract for a new phone I would then be switched to a throttled plan right?
I've only hit the ceiling once (5 gig) by accident (thoght I had turned off streaming from the Indianapolis 500 but didn't). I was told when I got throttled down it was part of the T&C I agreed to. I don't remember 5 gig but that is more that enough for me.
I read that the 5gb throttling started during October last year. And I signed my contract in March so I thought I would have been grandfathered in. But when I checked the website it told me I had 5gb of data at my disposal =\
I think it started before October. I signed a 2-yr agreement with them in July 2009 and my data is throttled after 5GB. I've come close, but never exceeded it.
