What is the difference between

Core 2

and

Core2 Duo

Is they same or not?

Core 2 is the processor architecture name and Duo indicates dual core processor. There is also Core 2 Solo (single core) and Core 2 Quad (quad core).

^^^ Basically what he said. The Core 2 architecture is pretty good. I'm using the Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz x64 on my HP. It's good, but I think I'd rather have a Core 2 Quad. That and a better graphics card, so it could handle WoW better.
