Different Android Market for different phones?

I have an Eris(waiting for Verizon to release something worth my time and $$$) and my g/f has an Incredible. She can find Firefox Browser on her Market and I cannot. I thought maybe it was because she has 2.2 and I have 2.1.
Then I was on a friends Wildfire(also 2.1) and was looking to download Weatherbug for him and that didn't show up in a search on his phone but it does on mine. Any explanation for this? Any info is appreciated!

I think some apps are blocked depending on the phone, os, carrier, location... There are apps I know work on my phone but are blocked since I'm in Canada. I imagine the same is true for 2 different phone models.

Every Android app has minimum criteria. If your device misses just one of those, it won't show up in the market. Firefox for Android has a ARMv7 processor requirement which would be why it is not available for you. Similarly Weatherbug has a video resolution requirement which is why the Wildfire won't see it.

Very true, but there are also apps that run just fine on a Wildfire, yet they are not available in the Android Market. Tasker, to name just one.

Yes, there are programs that will run on Phones that do not meet their minimum requirements. However lowering the bar just sets the developer up for problems, so if you are able to snag the .apk for an app that is missing from the market and you install it, you do so at your own risk.
