Different use for crazy gift

Guess what I got as a gift...a bath bomb. Since I have no wish to blow up the tub, what else could I do with it? Could I simmer it on the stove? It does smell great but I don't want to cause any problems with it.

I just watched a soap making special on PBS (and before anyone thinks I've gone over to the tye-dyed treehuggers, our local PBS affiliate airs a show every morning called PCN Profiles where they spotlight a Pennsylvania business. :p )

Anyway, bath bombs are pretty popular and consist of pretty much citric acid and baking soda and a little food coloring and essential oils for fragrance. They are compacted together and when immersed in water the citric acid and baking soda react to give off CO2 in a fizzy fragrant manner. I'm not really sure if there's any cleaning, sanitary or skin benefit to them, but they are entertaining. :D

If you want to use it as a room freshener, just drop it in a bucket of warm water and let it do its thing.

Believe it or not, I watched the whole thing. Now I know where to go shopping in Lancaster. I'll probably do the sock drawer thing. By the way, has anybody thrown one in with the laundry? I wonder what that would do.
