I've been trying to find this style or technique for a while but not come across many results. I have seen a couple of videos using this method in the past but i can no longer locate them to find out more. Tutorials are oddly hard to come by and any i do find are fairly basic, not offering the information i need to get started myself.
Basically, it's animation made on the computer but it has been done in such a way that it looks like it was created using pencil and paper. The idea is that it keeps the feel of traditional animation but allows the animator to work at a much faster pace because they can copy-paste certain frames, easily undo mistakes, etc. I'm not sure what tools, programmes or software are used but all of the lines have this lovely granite/lead look to them and every subject has several frames of animation, even if they aren't moving (much like how you would have to draw the subject out several times on each piece of paper yet each frame would have a slightly different drawing because it's impossible to copy it perfectly every time).
Never know, maybe someone here is an animator and knows exactly what i am on about. I'm after tutorials, videos which showcase this style, or any information which may be relevant to this (such as design programmes or tools that have realistic pencil brushes). I know i'm shooting in the dark here but it's worth a try.
