Help Dim red light

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I am excited to finally register after reading so many insightful posts!

I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S III and I am in love with it! It is truly a great phone. I switched over from iPhone 4 and I'm telling you I do not know why I didn't switch and ditch Apple earlier!

I am having a bit of an issue with a dim red light lit up on the far left of the camera and proximity sensor it is the first (left to right) hole in the front by the ear piece where you ear goes. It is always on! it is very dim and cannot really notice it until you are in a dark room or cup your hand over it.

i turned off all motions settings and do not have any gestures set on it. My other handset did that too. It was pebble color now i have the white.

Does any know what is going on?

ive noticed that too. no idea what it is. ive got some motion settings on, but auto brightness off. so no idea what it is

It's the smartstay sensor. It'll light up right when you see the little eye show up. It's usually always working. Now if it's red and your screen is off that's a problem.

When i turned on smart stay the light isn't lighting up anymore can anyone tell me why? but i turned the setting off and its lit now

I do see this every now and then. Honestly I'm not super concerned about it.
As I type this right now I cant find the light. Not to sure what it could be, but it doesn't impact performance, and its not killing my battery. Just my thoughts

I guess I'll never figure it out. But like the above poster said I shouldn't worry about it.. Does anyone know where I can a weather widget that looks like Sense UI with live clouds like in the first HTC Inspire or some cool touchwiz widgets.. I hate my homescreen is cluttered with GoLauncher crap.

After i tried sooo many app to disable this sensor light. I found that the solution is to open viber and exit from it ( from settings select exit don:t exit by home button) and try ;)))
