Help Direct Call has stopped working

I think Direct Call is a neat feature of the S3 but it's not something I use a lot. Over the months, I have disabled more services on the phone than I can remember. Direct Call no longer works when I am in SMS or Contact screen and placing phone next to my ear. I wonder if it's one of the close proximity sensor service I may have disabled accidentally? And ideas?

Try getting a gyroscope app and seeing if that works.

Also, the close proximity sensor should continue to work - you can test it in-call as well. Simply cover the sensor with your finger and see if the screen turns off; remove your finger and it should turn back on.

If it works, then something else has gone wrong.
