We just watched "Pirates of Silicone Valley" (Steve Jobs and Bill Gates story)... Bill Gates rolled all over Jobs. The movie makes it look as if Gates ran with Jobs ideas. If true, Jobs could be having flashbacks of the early days and has probably had enough, and is being kinda pro-active in saying "stop".

Reading the comments after the above article, I see many siding with HTC and that many feel that Apple is too strict with their ideas. But it also comes to mind that HTC recently put a stop to "Beautiful Widgets"... just a small guy that desiged a cool app.

Small details, but same concept.
 
Get the popcorn out this is about to get real ugly. This will drag out at least a year if not longer so I wouldn't worry about it just yet unless Apple get some kind of tempory injunction against HTC. With the delay of the Ipad they won't be focused on this till sometime after the Ipad launch. What about the other phones that had these same features, why not go after them. All in all real competition scares Apple end of story.
