Disable Android power and data monitoring

NBNB

Lurker
The device in question is Asus Fonepad 7 running latest stock ROM (Lollipop) if it matters.

In settings, under power consumption table, one can see a list of apps and how much power they use. Same thing under data usage. I am wondering if there is a way to turn these monitoring off? I am open to rooting and install custom ROM if it is what it would take.

Thank you for reading.

I have a need to outfox villains on a regular basis. In case I got captured loitering around secret lairs, I want to be able to say I was merely looking to get good signal to upload my cat photos. But in order to say that, I have to make sure to turn on the relevant apps in advance so that it drains enough power and data to back up my story. Frankly it's a hassle and I can't always anticipate such scenario in advance.

So ideally I need a way to turn them off, or use iOS.

Sorry, I meant cat video! Not photo! A photo isn't large enough to justify the amount of time I spent lurking around. This kind of slip up could cost me my life! I face enough dangers as it is, I would rather my phone didn't try to kill me.

Are you some sort of spy or private detective or something?

Good luck in trying to do that with an iPhone.

Have a look at Silent Circle possibly, formerly Black Phone.

iOS may record a lot of things, but they have the decency to hide that information at least to the casual eyes. An 8 year old could open Android settings and everything is in plain sight.

Btw, I am also not looking for password or encryption related solution. It says a) I have something to hide, b) I have the password. Btw, as Hollywood movies had so often taught us, do not ask a spy what he does, he would have to kill you. ;)

Thanks for that black phone idea. It might do what I need it to, though it is more conspicuous than I'd like.
