Disable auto crop wallpaper - shortcut question

skypower

Newbie
2 questions:

1. when i try to set a wallpaper, it auto crops the top/sides, and the final picture i get is zoomed in, no matter what the original resolution was. i know this has been asked a couple of times, but i cant find an answer.

2. can i make a shortcut and point it to the applications menu, pretty luck like i press the default blue icon "applications"? all i can do via shortcut and custom shortcut is to start a specific app.

thanks for your time

1) try dwnlding 640x480 wallpapers, they rarely need to be cropped.
2) you will need to download another launcher (preferred ADW).
with that when you long press on homescreen you will get an option for launcher actions (other than apps) in shortcuts option.
then you can long press that icon again to change icon to ur desire.. :)
