Help Disable LED notification light for email LG Optimus L70

Hello, thanks for taking the time to help me out.
I have an LG Optimus L7o with the LED ring home button. It flashes when I have a notification of any kind.
I want to disable the LED for email notifications, but keep it enabled for text messages and everything else.

I have tried disabling notifications in the email app settings, but my problem is that I want the notification to appear in the top of the screen when the screen is unlocked, but I do not want the LED to flash for an email notification.
Anyone know how to do this?

Here is how I disabled mine on my G2.
Settings>>>Display>>>LED Notifications>>>Uncheck LG mail.And this will disable mail led.

Thanks for replying. I tried that, but it didn't work. I use the Gmail app. Could the problem be that it isn't recognized as an email program?

Possible.I use the email app and disabled the gmail app.Also the email app can be used for gmails too.
