Disable Magnet Detection

I have an LG K20 with a magnet mount in the car. Every time I mount it on the magnet mount, the screen goes black with digital clock. How do I change this?

Is this not a normal behavior for a phone that's not being used? If you want the display to stay on for longer, go to settings/display/screen timeout
