Disable multiple browser windows

Firebreak

Newbie
Greetings,

Sorry if this has been posted before. Is there some way to disable multiple browsers in android? I'm using a galaxy S3 and whenever I click a link from say facebook as an example, it opens a new browser rather than re-using the existing one.

It seems to open up to 16 browsers. It often hangs the IE app once that many are open, and I have to either restart the phone or wait until it reports to me that the app isn't responding so I can close it.

I would much prefer if I clicked a link in an app, that it just re-used the existing browser.

Thanks!

Depends on how you exited the browser actually. You could close the browser window before pressing back. I am not sure exactly but there's a setting in the browser settings to "open links in new window" which you should disable. Can't be sure since I disabled the default browser in Samsung and use Chrome.
