Disable pull down notification bar

How can I temp disable the pull down notification bar for when I'm gaming? Hope there is a way bc sometimes I'll accidently touch the top of my screen which pulls it down mid game (example: claw method on PUBG mobile)
Using an xperia if every makes different.

Just downloaded this and messed about with the options. I'd does hide it on the home screen but the problem is I can still pull the notification bar down from swiping down on the top. I want to completely disable that so I can't pull it down by accident.

Just put your phone into do not disturb mode before you are gaming.

Make sure that all notifications are off in the do not disturb mode and that no apps have the ability to override it.

Galaxy Note 10 user as well. Using the DND option on the phone doesn't keep the notification / status bar from being pulled down.

I'm also in need for something to prevent this from happening while gaming specifically. The game already hides it in full-screen, I want to disable it completely (not able to accidentally swipe and pull it down).

Any response or help is appreciated.
