Disable sharing over wifi?

Hey guys.

Quick question. Whenever I connect to the wifi at home I can see my housemate's "gallery" when I go to the my own phone's gallery. I switched off all NFC , wifi direct and dlna but i can still see it. Granted there is nothing in it (privacy settings?) but all the same I don't want to keep seeing his name in my phone and I certainly don't want anyone else looking at my gallery!

Any tips to disable this?

The only way I was able to do it was to Root and Freeze both wi-fi sharing apps with Titanium Backup.

Open Gallery > Menu > View By > select "Content in Device" ("All Content" displays local, cloud and shared content)

nobody will see your gallery unless your share it, the reason your see your housemates is because he has it in a shared folder on the network, so dont wory about him seeing yours unless your sharing it.

and to hide that like Mcpatty says menu botton view by and click device only
