Disable side buttons for ringer volume

My wife somehow lowers her ring volume so she can't hear rings. She is a senior, very simple user and not into operating smart phones at all.

Is there a way to disable her phone's side buttons from controlling ring volume? We just need to keep it at max volume all the time period. Have ring volume only adjustable via menus.

She has a stock Samsung Galaxy On5 running Android version 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Thanks for any help since her occasionally not answering her phone due to ringer volume turned low is driving me crazy.

I used to use an app called volume locker that would make you confirm a volume change within a few seconds or it would revert back to the previous setting. Let me see if I can find a link.

It hasn't been updated since 2012 and I haven't used it in years, so YMMV. I'm sure there are more modern products out there.

Thanks for your reply. I'll check volume locker out and report back. Any other ideas very welcome.
