Help disable software notification

hi, i have googled some items, here is what i have done: ( S7 flat here)

disabled:

com.update
configUpdater


turned off notifications for: (disable not allowed)

software update

i am hoping that i will not see the prompt to download the new software update of my unit. . .

About device configurations:

selecting manual for check update - once you clicked this, it will search for update (reason i don't touch this part)

scheduled software installation - NONE


did i missed something? i am not rooted


update **** after the above set up, the Nougat software update notification still appeared. .. Have no idea on what to turn off / disable anymore. . .

Do some research for your device to see if it can be rooted. If it can, you will be able to disable the software update app. I recommend you disable ALL internet connection on your phone to keep the device from auto-updating without your knowledge (that includes WiFi, mobile data, etc.)

hi, is this the samsung download manager? tried this.. it blocked the google playstore as well..

im only after the "software OTA update / firmware update " of the unit . ..

as per downloading some versions of the Package Disabler Pro. .. - one of the comment is the "sofware update drivers/service" are hidden

I use BK Disabler Pro. It can disable all software packages on the device. I use it on my GS7 and it works like a charm.

hi, were you able to disable/freeze the "software update" service? i have used a similar app days after my original post but the "sofware update" service is not found. . i have read in some search that the "sofware update" is really hidden.. (unless the unit is rooted. .. )

Yes, It should show up if you search "Software" in BK Disabler (There is a free version of the app if you don't want to buy it). Remember, the device must be rooted to disable system packages (Software update, Google+, etc).

oh i see. . reason why i cannot see those services.. unit not rooted Thanks for the advisory chief!
