Disney Park app

Newbie
I've seen commercials for the Disney Park app, but is it still not available for Smart phones? Nothing listed on the Market.

Not the iphone app. It's a Verizon commercial. The only app I am aware of is the Disney Magic Park app, but it is not for Smart phones. Seems like a no brainer to have this for Android.

I checked Verizon's site and I don't see Android listed (compatible phones). There are some other apps in the market (paid) that have line waits etc, but probably not as good as the VZW app...

BTW, I was looking for my friends...I can't stand the place :P

when I was in disney I believe they said it is not for smartphones. I hope someday it will be but for now I am using ride hopper.

Disney World Lines is by far the best of the lines app. Go to touringplans.com to find out a little more. It is from the guy who writes the #1 book for going to Disney World.

I use the touring plan app as well and I Love it. They actually have someone who does nothing but stats and users can input updated times so it is pretty accurate.

Ride hopper is much better than the application that Verizon distributes on non smart phones

I went to Disneyland in March and used the Ride Hopper app that is in the market place. It allows you to view pretty much every park in America. You just have to select the state, and then it lists all of the parks. The app is really accurate and if you are within park grounds you can change the wait times so that other people can view the true wait time. This app saved me lots of time by planning where we were going to go and around what time.

It also tells you if the rides are down and so forth.

Is ride hopper solely dependent on other users for updates, or do they have some basic updates from the park, and it is tweaked by users inside?

I am not sure if the park updates it, but the users can update it only if they are within the park grounds. From what I saw it was really accurate and saved lots of time.

I don't think the park updates it, but the application enters a default time, maybe it collects data from past days, not sure, and then users enter the real data , or as real as it can get

I found it pretty accurate, and a must if you are going to Disneyworld.
