Display problem GT-P3113

I recently acquired a GT-P3113 with a broken screen. It powers up just fine but the screen is real dim. In Settings>Display>Brightness seems to be grayed out, I can't select it. I also went to the Power Saver settings and both boxes there are checked and all is grayed out. Could this be a light sensor problem? If so, where can I find a diagram to find and replace it?

I'll give you the same advice I give anyone contemplating opening a cellphone and "fixing" it - DON'T! Unless you're experienced you'll probably break something while you're fixing the original problem. When you open it to fix that you'll probably break something else. By the time you get everything fixed (if you do - you'll probably give up and try to find a repair shop that's willing to repair a phone you've done who-knows-what to), you'll have spent more money than a new phone would cost.

It's cheaper to bring it in and have it fixed from the start, than to have to pay to have everything you've broken fixed before they can diagnose the original problem.
