Distinctive ring back

Does anyone know if its possible to have the distinctive ring feature removed from a Verizon line? What I mean by this, is the tone someone would hear immediately after the ring while calling me if I'm on the line with someone else. I attempted to have a csr rep remove the feature. It was difficult for her to even understand what I was talking about. She mentioned having difficulty removing it. Long story short, she ended up removing my call waiting all together. I plan on calling back tomorrow to try again, but has anyone had any luck with it? From what I read online it was either hit or miss and depending on what switch your TN was in, was part of the issue.

Have you tried using the My Verizon Mobile app?

Once it opens, click the Plan tab at the top of the page
Click the Change Features option from the list below your current plan details
Scroll down to Ringback tones and uncheck the checkmark next to it
A prompt screen should appear, just confirm your request
Finished

You mean the little beep thingy that the caller hears if you are on another call? I am not sure that can be removed, or at least I have never heard of it being removed.
Not that it helps you at all but I like it, if I hear it I usually just hang up knowing the person I'm calling is busy with someone else.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to remove it? Do you not want the caller to know you're talking to someone? Do you want them to just hear your phone ringing?
