Divert contact to voicemail

mackem

Hey is it possible to divert a single contact or two straight to voicemail. Not all numbers just the odd few that you can't deal with at that time..

I think this is what you are looking for. You can do this by tapping the phone icon, then tap the 3 dots in upper right corner, Settings>Block Numbers. Then just add the numbers you want to block and they should go to VM.

A different dialer may or may not work, that may be tied to the contacts so still not available.

Will MacroDroid do it? Or Tasker?
I'm looking at MacroDroid's menu.

Trigger: incoming call: select
Actions available:
  • Call reject
  • Call AutoAnswer "root only"

If you think about it, Voice Mail is a carrier function. The only thing you can do from the phone is to just ignore the call "Silence the Ringer" and let the Rings Time Out and then the carrier will forward the caller to your Voice Mail.

so, with MD,
Action: Volume Set: select Silent

and you will hear it ring once and then nothing. You just ignore the phone ringer once, and know that it is going to go to Voice Mail....

once it goes to Voice Mail, you are going to get a message back from the carrier notifying you that you have received a Voice Mail

Now, once the Ringer has been set to "Silent", you will need a new macro to restore the Ringer Volume to normal.

not going to bother with that right now as it depends on what the OP wants to do.
