DLNA on Galaxy S

Hi,

Got a Samsung Galaxy S and a Sony Bravia TV. I have managed to get the 2 connected - problem is most of the music on my phone won;t play through the TV. The music I have downloaded using my phone will play - but the rest that i have transferred from my PC just comes up with "unable to play". Any thoughts?

thanks

The DLNA software is a simple connection software and does not transcode anything. So you will have to look at the TV and see what codec(formats) it supports. I have successfully used my 360 for some things but do to the limits of the 360 codecs some music and movie formats would not stream.

If your phone and the TV are connected to the same home network, you can try Skifta application from Market (it acts as a DLNA server).
I can stream from my Desire to my Samsung TV not only music, but also videos.
