Gmail- When I'm connected to WIFI do I get charged for using the g mail app pre programmed on my phone?

new apps- do I get charged for downloading FREE apps when I'm connected to WIFI?

outer info: Samsung galaxy 550, no data plan, I have the phone set so It don't use data.
ANY answers would help, thanks

There is no charges when you are using your or any WIFI connection.
