Hi Android/Samsung people!
I am new in both above...
just got a used Samsung i5700 Spica, runs Android 2.1
(bcoz I like the many hardware buttons, as it helps me work blindly).
I've been searching intensively for a way to backup / manage / synch SMS and possibly contacts, calendar etc to the PC - to no avail so far.
Samsung New PC Studio doesn't recognize the Spica.
Using gmail contacts to synch OTA is crooked, but I coud live with that, however
I've found no way to backup SMS!
ABSOLUTLY UNBELIEVABLE!
I've scanned Spica forums, mostly 1-2 year old posts, tried everything suggested. And no one replied to my current questions, I guess they're all gone...?
questions:
thanks!

questions:
- Is this only a Spica problem?
- Does anyone know of a work-around for saving SMS messages to PC?
- Sorry if I am too greedy: something beyond a workaround, that would recognize the phone and do more of what NPS is supposed to do?
- Will 2.2/2.3 improve my situation?
thanks!
