Do people complain too much about?

Tech now?

I guess its partly because I've grown up in a "you want this, you do the research and find out" age..

However, now days.. it is really well.. a given fact that you buy *ANYTHING* your going to have to do some modding that you really shouldn't logically have to do.

You buy a prebuilt PC your gunna have to uninstall bloatware.

You buy a phone.. get ready to root, void you warranty and remove bloatware/install a gps fix. Or jailbreak to install a gps fix.

I mean don't get me wrong.. I am not saying there is no merit to these complaints at all! However, I am saying that these complaints are about symptoms (which are problems caused by a bigger problem).

My thoughts on this are yes, its annoying to uninstall the "trail of micorsoft word 1337" and "HP ULTRA SENSE" that comes with computers.. but, your free to do whatever you want with it and not void your warranty.

When it comes to phone's now.. In order to uninstall bloatware.. You have to root your phone.. which I wouldn't mind doing.. However, doing this voids your warranty.

Being completely honest.. The problem with this isn't that you have to root, the problem isn't that you have to download a gps fix or jailbreak your phone..

The problem is that the companies tie your hands up legally.

If you were allowed to root without breaking the warranty.. There would be no issues. However, the companies make it so that rooting is the only way to even hide useless apps.. So they legally have the right to force their advertisement for programs you do not want and will not use on you.

I understand their logic.. they spent time/energy developing these useless aps.. they want to make sure they get used! but, lets be real.. they could save a lot of money, time and energy on their part and ours if they would just not force them on us.. but, nooo their answer is to make sure we can't remove them..

So now they annoy customers, force them to void warranty..

I think bill gates must be envious of this.. All the crazy crap microsoft tried/tries to get away with.. I think even in his wet dreams bill gates wouldn't have been able to go this far.

Moving back to topic..I think people really need to quit complaining that the tech now doesn't come exactly the way they want it.. Now comp usage is a prerequisite for many things.. Being able to learn and adapt is becoming a necessity.. phones are no exception.. if You want something to work the way you want to.. Well.. linux is having a bigger impact as time goes on.. And your going to have to gain a better knowledge/understanding of whats going on, and get your hands at least a little dirty if not programming fixes yourself.. following someone elses guide on how to apply their fix.

The people you are talking about tho are a minority; power users, people that wont stand for bloatware, tech savvy +1 people. Most people are "ok" with what they buy out of the box.

Hm. While you are right..

The market is still expanding.. and it occurs more than you might think when you read through some reviews..
