Do they make a terabyte sd card?

Nope. 128GB microSD cards exist, but that's it at the moment.

Lexar make a 256GB SD card, but that won't fit in your phone. And it will cost as much as a phone itself!

Anyone claiming to sell a 1TB card is running a scam. Do not give them your money.

64gb sandsik u1 card
Thats what I have
Works great.

128 is the biggest ive seen.

Me I need speed, not huge sizes.

1tb would be cool.
But that is 36 months away from the announcement of the 256gb (2 sets of doubling every 18 months [moores law])

Hurry up and wait

According to the SD Association, the newer SDXC format has a capacity of over 32GB to 2TB.

So maybe in the future we will eventually see that.

Of course the other issue will be the heat generated from the larger capacity cards.

Bro you can good affect but according to the SD Association, the newer SDXC format has a capacity of over 32GB to 2TB...

If it's written on the net it must be true.

Links to this proof?

That would be cool, but I put more stock in the compasity that I hold in my hand, rather than a theoretical limit. Even though I am sure someone can show some good proof.

(Prime example: Andrew Wakefield)

They definitely do make them ... but so far just for Asian markets, not available in the United States yet.

I've worked in the semiconductor manufacturing industry for a long time and have practically lived in Asia for six months at a time. My customers have included all of the major memory component manufacturers.

I'd love to see to evidence of one of these Asian cards you're talking about because it would certainly be news to me.

I think I seen the Samsung tb card also but when I wanted to buy it wasn't out and they laughed at me . I was going to put it in a home DVR. Now all I see is the 256 GB . I was told at tiger direct that they had shut down videos of this also it was spoken about back in the day of 2009

Some where in the books america and the world wide global system is holding back on tb cards being made for micro sdxc

And what do you see in micro SDXC?

Well nothing yet waiting on a real company to step up to bat hope itz a home run . we need major league in the sdxc class I am all for android and other devices that needs them . I am still trying to understand how someone can take a wire and short out a SD card into reading higher numbers but no can't build a reliable card .

No one is holding out on anyone.

They don't exist yet.

Not even in Asia.

They will.

Things take time.

Ooops I was just going by what the video said . the man said 5-6 years that would fall about now . I got enough 64 and 32 cards . I guess it would be to much to ask for a clean trade . take your old cards and make a good payoff profit for a new 2tb card when they come out .:D:p o wait I am moving to fast .:car:

I got a video that says by now I'll be driving an Air Car and flying it to work in a domed city where everything is clean.

I'm gonna have to get back to you on that one too. :D

SDXC cards should have already reached 1TB if not 2TB. - Flash Media - Storage

I'll yield to your firsthand knowledge, my post was based on a usually reliable colleague.

I'm not waiting on pins and needles, though .... flash drives seem too fragile to trust with such massive data sums. It's like Blu-Ray ... the capacities are intriguing, but I'm not interested in putting 50 g on an optical drive.

To be honest, I'm just a caveman ... I have six or seven HDDs, from 22 GB to 160 GB stacked on my closet shelf. Them I trust.

I think that an 1 TB SD Card is ridiculous, at least for me i have an 160 GB Hard-disk on my laptop and i had it for a long long time and it's not even full :)) !
So the 1 TB SD Cars is a scam and i think that it will be to big, in my opinion.
