Do you bother reading your phone's instruction manual?

I'm going to switch tack and at least do a quick thumb through it.

I do a quick glance through like a month later. After I pull my hair out of my head when Verizon activation goes wrong. I get the manual. It explains it in plain English how to activate your device. If only I did this on day one!!! The manual is helpful to understand your phone and use it. There could be new features available that a person may not know how to use or initiate. So the manual is helpful.

I think it's becoming a mandatory read-so many companies want to change so many things...even small or inconsequential.

I'm with jameny5. You never know there may be new features that weren't discussed on-line before release.

For me reading the instruction manual for any new device/appliance/computer/ etc. is extremely important. There may be features that arent readily apparent. They guide for a seamless set up. And they also have helpful troubleshooting methods printed. Most of this stuff is common sense but i still read through anyways. There may be something is missed if i didnt.

I download and read the manual before I buy the phone or tablet just to get familiar with the device in advance.
