Do you still smoke cigarettes?

I smoked a pack a day (Winston 100's) from 1978 until 1983-ish. One day, I woke up, decided I didn't like it anymore and went cold turkey. A few years later i had a smoke and hated every puff. Haven't touched a ciggie since.

Cigars, are another matter, though. I love a nice Arturo Fuente on a Summer afternoon with a bourbon on the rocks.

Stogies only.

Cigars are worst for you. Just sayin'

Like Freud said ... it's all relative. Or was that Einstein? ;)

Check out the Mayo Clinic has to say about it.

While they do end it with "the health effects of occasional cigar smoking aren't as clear" I am not trying to delude myself into thinking there are no adverse affects of cigar smoking.

If cutting out cigars, coffee, bourbon, bacon, etc. could add ten years to my life ... I'd rather my death certificate not read that I died from boredom. ;)

yes, I do... now and then.

i am an odd ball.. dont have much raving for it.
only once in a while.. and during nights out drinking ..

so.. about 1-2 cig ... per month!!!

so.. maybe a pack a year!!!!
If I could do that I'd still smoke. I quit about 6 years ago. I had to give up cigars too because it would just lead me back to cigarettes.

a cigar .. once a month / a pack of cigs a year
vs
driving on the open road...

which is more deadly?

i am seriously asking..

we breath in all kinds of crap every day...
and depending where you live.. or do for a living... it can be some ugly stuff.

but our body can clean out .. some exposure. naturally.

so. a little smoke.. now and then..
is like .. drinking a beer.. now and then.

i think.

I'd agree.

I started smoking a pipe when I was ten or eleven. I've continued that habit ever since. I started smoking cigs during the summer months when in high school and did so off and on but finally quit them about fifteen years ago.
There is something criminal about cigarettes being so addictive. I still want one now and then and that's just crazy.
A pipe is a far superior smoke. I don't know that I could quit the habit but I haven't had the desire. I don't pretend to think it is better for me. It's still a very nasty habit but quite enjoyable once you learn how to smoke one. Pipe smokers as in all smokers are a dwindling number. It's becoming more difficult as time passes to find quality pipes and tobacco. Less demand increases prices. :( It's time we all quit.. if we could remain civil here :)
