"Dock"-style app for tablets

Does anyone know of any good dock-style apps for tablets? I have a decent setup at work where I can have the tablet set up and plugged in to wifi, and I'd like to have it display news/weather/time on the screen. I have not been able to find one app that does all of this, which I consider a shame. the default "Clock" app shows weather and time, but leaves the rest of the screen empty.

Any app suggestions would be appreciated.

tcat - I am fully aware of what a widget is, and that is not what I am looking for. Certain phones have a "dock" screen that is on while a phone is in the dock and charging, that displays information like the time and the local weather full screen, overriding what is normally there. I am looking for a similar *application* that can display news as well as weather and time. I have attached a screenshot of the current dock application on my tablet, and you will see the amount of empty space I am talking about.

Looks like someone is running CM7 Is that on a touchpad?

Sorry I can't offer any ideas for your problem though
