1. Got the basic dock today, it said on a sticker on the outside, works with maxx. You just swap the plastic backing. Yay desktop type dock, you just slide the phone in sideway, and it aligned right up. It's not like a droidx where you have to get it just right pushing down into the dock.
2. Car dock... IIRC I thought the Moto site said usb with a 3.5" audio adapter. There is no adapter like that with the car dock, and it's even listed on the contents as just a 3.5" adapter. Can I buy a usb cable that has a 3.5" audio connector? I don't want to keep connecting to the audio jack on the phone every time I'm in the car.
Also, just to add, 2 modern FM transmitters that work with the Bionic and SGN.... and a few other slightly older phones.... no worky with the maxx. One I just bought because it was only $75, and arrived today. It did audio once for a few seconds, then stopped. I've tried a few other methods, but nothing is working.... hence we go full circle to the micro-usb cable with 3.5" audio adapter.
