Help Docomo NERV SH-06D help

Hi everyone, I managed to get a hold of a NERV SH-06D (Docomo) that I ordered directly from Japan, it's brand new but my SIM won't work with it, I had read it was compatible with my carrier's UMTS (Claro) but it did not detect the SIM, we even tried with another carrier (TIGO) but to no avail.

I was wondering how could I make it work, would a GEVEY SIM card help in this situation? Kinda bummed out it didn't work but it's my fault for not doing more research on compatibility. Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Tried:
EL SALVADOR Tigo 850/3G 850

Others available:

EL SALVADOR Digicel 900
EL SALVADOR Movistar 850/1900

See this article about Japanese networks: http://www.blogfromamerica.com/english/archives/31 There is no GSM or 2g in Japan, everything uses 3g/4g. Its likely that your phone does not have a GSM radio. Docomo appears to use 2100, 800 and 1800 for 3g. It looks like you are out of luck.

From your link, Docomo - W-CDMA/UMTS 2100MHz or 850/800MHz, so one of those ought to work, if W-CDMA or UMTS, pretty popular for GSM carriers, right?

Thanks guys, I'll try with another carrier (Movistar) and see how it goes.
