Does 2G use count on my 2.5GB 4G account limit?

I have a new 2.5GB per month 4G account. I run my LG Optimus L70 on 2G when I'm around the house, and 4G when I'm out & about.

Is the 2G use being counted towards my 2.5GB cap?

Is it worthwhile to knock down to 2G around the house?

Thanks!

For around the house, the best option is to have wifi available. To save on data, turn off as much background data as you need. For example for me, I have FB notifications turned off. If I really must know about someone commenting on my posts, there are the email notifications. Basically, background data can be a killer if you don't pay attention to what is going on.

That trick actually used to work on t mobile. You could switch to 2g only and it wouldnt xount towards your cap. They seem to have figured that out though and now all data no matter if its gprs edge 3g hspa or lte counts as data.
