Does Andoid phones encrypt web traffic data?

Is the webtraffic always encrypted when surfing with an Android phone?

Are there any risks for being "packed sniffed"?

I don't believe traffic is encrypted - unless you're using https, of course - so, yeah, it could be sniffed .. actually, make that inhaled whole.

It's pretty much same as a PC. Normally it's unencrypted, unless the browser is showing HTTPS and/or the padlock icon, i.e. it's a secure website. If app data is encrypted or not, it depends on the app. The Google apps use encryption.

If in doubt, say like you're using open WiFi at Starbucks or whatever, suggest you use a secure VPN or proxy. Which is what I do all the time now, secure VPN.

Generally mobile data is more secure than WiFi but as already stated if you are concerned about it than subscribe to a VPN service.
