Does anyone else ever get lag while sending a text message?

Currently using Swiftkey 3 and at times when Im texting the words that are being typed show up really delayed.

Dual core and 2 gigs? Come on now.

I might have two tasks running in the background thats it. Power save set to off.

Yes, I find that when I receive a text , whatever I'm doing slows down or stops, a few times my device has actually re started! Could be that I'm using Smart Keyboard Pro that I had on my Samsung galaxy S1. Began after the last firmware upgrade.
