Does anyone use this phone with Microsoft Sync in their car?

I have Microsoft Sync in my car. For those who are not familiar with it, one of the features is making voice-activated phone calls. For example, I can say "call" then the name of a person in my phonebook and it will call that person.

I tried using this with my new Samsung Intercept but it doesn't seem to work. I have several contacts in my Contact List, but when I say to call one of them, nothing happens.

Does anyone know if the Intercept is compatible with Sync?

I don't own the Intercept, but I experienced a similar problem when I briefly owned - don't laugh - a Microsoft Kin TwoM. In my case, the Kin didn't support the Bluetooth profile which is used to transfer the phonebook to Sync.

After calling Ford customer service, the agent I spoke with told me that there's a workaround tool called SyncMyPhone which allows you manually type your contacts into a spreadsheet, then upload it to Sync via a USB drive. It isn't perfect, and you'll have to repeat the process whenever you add/remove a contact, but it's something. Here's the link:

You could try that and see if it works.

For what it's worth, the agent also told me that the list of Sync-tested phones on Best Buy's web site is actually more up-to-date than the list on Ford's own web site:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Misc/Ford+Sync/pcmcat191800050009.c?id=pcmcat191800050009

I didn't see the Intercept on there at all.
