I do not believe there is any throttling on the Boost network. I haven't been able to find any official statements one way or another ...
But Sprint executive Bill White denied this was the case. Sprint's businesses include its prepaid arms Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, both of which do practice throttling, and Hesse was referring to those customers.
"We don't throttle our unlimited postpaid customers," White said. "He is not referring to postpaid."
Sprint has repeatedly stripped away the unlimited offer from many of its services except for its core contract smartphone data plan. Over the past year, the company has done away with unlimited plans for its prepaid business, mobile hot spots, and USB laptop cards.
Sprint has kept the unlimited smartphone plan because it believes the offer is one of the key differentiators for the company. That's particularly the case with the iPhone 4S, which both AT&T and Verizon Wireless also carry. In heavy rotation is an iPhone commercial that touts Sprint's unlimited plan.
White did say customers who violate the terms and conditions could be limited, but that would involve turning the phone into a modem by tethering it to another device.
"Unlimited doesn't mean you can hook it up to a server farm," White said.

HTC Evo Design 4G | Boost Mobile
i can't believe people are saying that boost doesn't throttle data...don't you think everyone would have boost?
They clearly state in the terms of agreement (which i posted a link to above)
That they"reserve the right to throttle after 2.5g....the whole policy is explained in great detail....READ THE FINE PRINT, PEOPLE....
Considering i get a very crappy 10kbps with boost mobile i hardly use any data through them as i mainly use wifi when i am here at home.
:laugh:I'll be checking out T-Mobile when this takes effect. Since the Phoenix area apparently has no WiMax coverage, and they' re going to throttle the 3G I'm stuck with, might as well move on!
Just be careful of where you're going. There is no company that does NOT throttle at some point or another. Lots of MVNOs advertise "unlimited" but their data caps are still in place. H2O will pull your data at 2gb/month. Simple Mobile at 3gb/month. Straight Talk will say unlimited but if you pull to much data (and there seems to no general concessus) they'll turn your account off without warning. They might even make it impossible for you to port your number out of their service.I get the worst speed. I'm debating on canceling the service just because if I'm paying for 3g. I expect to get it... or at least somewhat close.
Well I just activated this phone on Saturday and the service is already running this slow. I know I haven't downloaded anything severe and I'm even willing to say I've used less than 100mb, but I'm still only getting like 156k down. Ridiculous.
I was wondering if boost mobile throttles down data speeds after using a set amount of data? I currently use virgin mobile and hear that they will soon throttle down speeds after 2.5 gigs. does anyone know if boost plans to do the same?
