Does GO Launcher EX drain battery?

Does the go launcher drain you battery faster

also what app can i download to to view these forum sites on my phone

thank you

Milestonex, I use Dolphin Browser HD, it allows you to use the internet just as you would on a desktop computer...LOVE IT!

I have used a few a few launcher programs, i could never go back to Sense (EVO 4G). I can not give you a definite answer but have to assume it does as my battery tends to drain a little quicker than my friends using the EVO's without GO launcher. I also have the extended battery and do not mind the additional battery drain (if there is any) as i love the clean screen the custom launchers give you.

I tried Go Launcher EX and, while I really liked it, it was a drain on my battery, too. I've switched to Launcher Pro and am giving it a try for a while.

I've used ADW for a while now (at least a year, I think) but I tried using Go Launcher Ex for a few weeks, earlier this year. One is the things I noticed about it, that I didn't like, was that it showed up as a running service whereas ADW does not. I don't know it seeing that constitutes proof that it drains batteries faster, but I think it's a reasonable conclusion to draw

I don't have any problems of GoLauncher Ex draining my battery. Mine doesn't really drain that much at all. I know an app that you can view this site with. It's called Phandroid. It's a neat little app. Try it out and see.

"GO" on my Optimus-V for 6 months and no "noticeable" drain. I lose 1% in 14 hours in airplane mode at home (wifi 4 hrs of that), and the other 10 hrs on 3G. I get 3-4 days of lite use. I have 6 screens with zoom in/out animation between screens (multi-picture live), and app drawer animations. Only thing I wish Go had was more icons in their default icons.

I just Zeam launcher which I think is pretty much the fastest one, but on my tablet I use LauncherPro for now since it seem more compatible. But I haven't found one that is built for tablet or allow resizing of icons.

To check how much an app is using the battery:

(from your phone's home screen) Menu > Settings > About Phone > Battery use

Usually the apps at the top should be something like:

- Display/Screen
- Cell Standby
- WiFi
- Phone idle

alostpacket : ya, but it specify if its the launcher or not
