Does MPCS Run on Full T-Mobile Network?

So I've gotten conflicting information on this one. Do MetroPCS customers with GSM phones have access to T-Mobile's full network? I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S3 GSM 4G LTE phone running on Metro's $40 basic plan, and I don't get good reception, and my 4G comes & goes a lot, so the internet is very spotty. I'm in an area of Dallas/Ft. Worth that should have good coverage, but it just doesn't. I was planning on switching my family over to T-Mobile to take advantage of their 4 line plan with 1gig a piece & get better coverage (I have a friend on TM, and loves it), but if I'm going to get the same crappy coverage, why bother? Would it be any better?

It's the same towers and same network, just with a different name. Do you know if other people in your area also have reception issues on MetroPCS and T-Mobile?
