Does my turbo 2 really need a case?

Was wondering if this turbo 2 really needs a protective case..I just had it out of a silicon case for cleaning and liked the feel of it naked..any thoughts? Thx

I think it depends on the user.

I work in offices. Mine is either on the desk or in a shirt or pants pocket dedicated to only being used for it. I do not have a case and never have had one.

If I worked on a scaffold four stories up I would probably have a protective case. If I took it with me mountain climbing I would probably have a case.

I use the Verizon brand shell holster combo case for two reasons. One, to clip it to my belt, and two, because I need a little something extra to hang on to. It's too thin and slippery by itself.

I'm with Thom. If I'm at work, my phone is on the desk next to me. If I'm at home, it's usually on the couch or coffee table. If I'm anywhere else, it's in a pants/shorts pocket with nothing else other than the cleaning bag for my sunglasses. As a result, I do not use a case for my normal day-to-day routine, and my phone is still in nearly pristine shape.
However, if we do something out of the ordinary where it is a little more likely that something could happen (say a day out at an amusement park), I pop it into my Incipio DualPro CF for some added protection.

I use a case because the back of the phone is slick enough that it slides off of the arm of my armchair at home. I never used a case on my Droid Maxx because the back wasn't slick. I go back and forth on this as I definitely like the phone better without the case. I just have the Incipio dual layer padded case for the back and sides. No huge otterbox type of case but I still would prefer the phone naked and it definitely fits in my pocket better without a case. Now that I'm (finally!) retired I may try it naked again but I do tend to set it on the arm of my chair and I don't want it sliding off onto the floor even if it is carpeted.
