So like many others when I got my Nexus, I signed in with my Google account straight away and enabled the auto-backup of settings. As part of my wifi configuration, I use EAP-TLS and have a client key on my Nexus in the credential storage.
While I was browsing my Nexus, I got to wondering... the auto-backup feature mentioned backing up, among other things, passwords... passwords are stored in credential storage... private keys are also stored in credential storage...
I have since disabled auto-backup, but I need to know if my private keys have been (in effect) compromised by being sent to Google's servers. I trust Google to store quite a bit of data about me, but I cannot trust them, or anyone else, with the keys to my network kingdom. If the private keys have been "backed up" to Google's server, I am going to have to revoke them.
So, the question is, are the contents of the credential storage, including private keys, "backed up" to Google's servers as part of the Nexus One settings auto-backup? Furthermore, where on Google's site can I view and manage whatever data and settings have been backed up? If I one day decide, as I have now, not to use the backup feature, how to I remove my data which has already gone to their servers?
