Does phone call damages the phone while charging?

Hello people! I just purchased the pocophone F1 and according to it's instruction, you can't use phone call while it's charging. Does phone call while charging damages the phone? What if the phone just rings while it's charging, does it damage? Sorry for this, I'm just being extra cautious for my new phone as it's not only brand new but its also my first flagship phone. I want to take extra care for it. Thank you!

I would usually caution against doing anything that would generate a lot of heat while charging (heat being bad for batteries, and charging generating some already). But there I'd be talking about playing demanding games, not making a phone call. I don't see any issue there, and have no idea why they would write that (assuming it's not just something that got lost in translation).

No, it does not 'damage' your phone. It does add some overhead to the charging process going on in the background however. If it did actually do something destructive, the manufacturers would make it so your phone's functionality is nullified while it's connected to a charging source.
Generally, if you get an occasional phone call, or text, or email, whatever while its charging it doesn't hurt anything to then use your phone. But you don't want this to be something you do all the time. Here's a nice summation on battery charging and what's referred to as 'parasitic load':

If you really want to fixate on battery life, ideally you should power off your phone before you connect it to your charger, so there's no load at all. But here in the real world that's not really practical, and to do so would actually diminish the whole reason why any of us even have smartphones -- if it's powered off it's not really serving any purpose.
If you haven't already, go into your phone's Settings menu and take a little time to tweak your battery optimization options:

I remember having heard about this issue many years ago when mobile phones still use old generation batteries. It took forever to charge the phones while you are using it and there was some kind of electronic interferences that make the voice somehow distorded.

Odds are this model being so recent it's not using an old generation battery of any kind.

If it does have a 4000 mAh battery, that'll be pretty cutting edge. I'm jealous.

I'm referring to phones from decades ago with NiCD batteries, not the current phones. It was funny time, each phone has its own charger with specific plug, I can't charge my Motorola with my Ericsson phone's charger.
