Does the S3 support 4G?

Doink

Hi all, upgrade time has finally come, currently running the Desire HD and i must say its been a good servant for 2 years but now i have this dilema, shall i go for the HTC one x or try a different avenue and go S3?

Currently on orange and would admittedly like to stay but i did ring '3' for a run down on their deals, withing 5mins i was sold so i rang orange back for my PAC code, upon speaking with a different rep this time he jigged the monthly plan, added a bit, discounted a bit and also told me about the impending 4G service on orange while other networks would be probably a year behind, this really threw me a curve ball , orange or '3'???

Oranges main selling point was 4G but does the S3 actually support 4G?

Please no tech jargon like MHz and quadband, processors and this that and the other

Thanks

Been discussed in this thread here.

But without getting technical, the answer is we simply don't know. It supports it but the networks haven't confirmed they will be compatible

Thanks for the link matey, not sure how i missed it when i searched

Read the thread and like you say its still all up in the air and no one really knows just yet which is a shame as oranges main selling point to me was 4G, hate them to say yes its compatible and then turn out its not.

Guess its a waiting game then

It is. I'm not bothered to be honest. 3G is fast enough for me. The S3 is a great phone even without 4G
