ROMs Does this make "Sense"?

I finally took the plunge last night and flashed Virtuous. About a week ago I had started using launcherpro and done I prefer it over the stock sense.

1- I'm not sure I understand the distinction. Does it even make sense to use a custom Sense rom if I use LauncherPro?

2- One reason I chose Virtuous is because I would not have to wipe. If I have Titanium backup how big a pain is it to to get configured again after wiping? I would feel a lot more free trying different roms if the process is not to bad.

It's your choice for the launcher.

If you want all the HTC apps and being able to switch back to sense if you wanted.

Or you could run CM6 or another stock Android ROM if you don't use anything HTC.

I'd prefer My Backup from the market, it's a lot easier then Titanium Backup and you can back up all your settings.

Don't think I'm really using any sense apps. do they even run if I boot into LP? I'm guessing not.

You'll still be able to run everything installed on your phone but non of the HTC widgets.

So no down side then. No waste of resources or anything. Sounds good.

I did have a problem doing a Nandroid restore. I had backed up with Launcher Pro as default. Borked the restore. Homescreens were not right and launching sense made it act like a first boot with the tip screens. Has to go back to a backup from before I put LP on. Now if I do a nandroid back up I make sure I set Sense as default first.
