Does this work with chip cards? - Samsung Pay

So how does Samsung Pay work with chip cards? Will it, or do I still have to physically stick my card in the terminal? I just got the Note 7 and have never used this app

I used Samsung Pay with my chip card at Walmart, and it worked like a charm! No more sticking the card into the reader and waiting forever!

I use Samsung pay every where. It will work on any machine which has magnetic strip reader.

I use it everywhere as well. I have a wells Fargo card with chip and it world's just fine. Just hold the back of the phone to the card reader

I use Samsung pay as well. But for some reason I'm angry at Capital one Cuz they are not supported on Samsung pay. And I use Apple pay as well. They both are awesome.

I think not all banks are supported with Samsung Pay. I've found China Merchants Bank isn't, but Bank of Communications and Agricultural Bank of China are. Although I've yet to actually use Samsung Pay for anything, normally I use Ten Pay for most things.

Idk why, but for some reason, my Samsung pay doesn't work. I load it up and put it against the reader and it just counts down till it times out.

Are you holding the back of the phone against the magnetic strip reader? Try repositioning the phone.
