Does using the camera/video use data?!

Hello,
I haven't gotten a straight answer on this. I recently bought an Android smartphone and I need to know if using the camera/taking video uses data. Thank you.

Depends entirely on your settings. If the camera is set to embed location data into the EXIF, then it will use a bit of data to pinpoint your location details to embed that on the picture/video file.

Also, indirectly, if you have your Google Photos app set to use mobile data, then after you take a picture, your photo will be backed up using mobile data, so that's an indirect usage of mobile data by using the camera.

But if all of those are off, then no.
