Doesn't LG just gave up on G6?

Just asking for your opinion.
By the title I don't mean giving up whole development of the device, but the fact they care as less as possible. By that I mean sluggish Oreo introduction. Or security updates.

They're no worse than HTC at least for unlocked phones anyway. It's like the world's turned upside down. It used to be carrier branded phones that got things slower.

I think LG does a great job with mobile phones. They don't create a piece of crap which goes to the bin in a few months. They manufacture good smartphones, and then move on . They don't just 'abandon' a particular line; what they do is they move away from the system that is used by almost all smartphone makers these days. they don't want you to buy their phones every year, they only want you to buy their phones. that's why they make good devices that last way longer than a year or a year and a half. If you don't abuse the screen (keep brightness below 70%), don't abuse the power button (click as little as possible, use knock on feature), don't abuse the USB port (be gentle and kind EVERY time you plug in), don't abuse the battery, never go under 25%, unplug when 100% when possible), do not do drop tests, and keep the rigidity of the phone for emergencies.
And then your phone will easily last a few years. Remember to keep it looking good, so when you decide to get a new one, you can sell this one (or give it away), keep on recycling electronic stuff.

Lol I take great care of all of my devices, and it was always the LGs that went to crap first, hardware-wise anyway. Odd that they are dragging the G6 with Oreo?

My HTC U11 Life got the Oreo update almost two weeks ago, wasn't expecting that at all. Ooh. Rounded home icons!

It's an undeniably awesome phone for $300. But, as goes with being an Android device, it has issues lol. Love the phone. I just don't like that the phone cuts all Bluetooth ties when it goes to sleep. So my Tile tag won't ring my phone after screen off.

Back on the subject of the G6, I may end up getting one when T-Mobile drops the price a bit. I'm still mad that I walked away from buying it, just saw too many poor build quality reviews, felt just as cheap in hand. Still want tho :D
