Dolphin Browser: how to turn off gestures & question about new tabs

First of all, is there a way to turn off the gestures option?
Also, I noticed that if you open a new tab or exit a tab when there's only one tab that the page defaults to a speed dial thing. Is there any way to get rid of speed dial and set it to default to a web page of my choice?

Well I figured out how to turn off gestures. You have to go to settings and click on set up wizard. it gives you the option to hide gestures. However, I don't see a way to change the new tabs. Can you point me in the right direction?

You don't need the setup wizard to toggle gestures. If you long press on the screen one of the options is gestures. Set it to not show the gesture button.

As to the tabs, go into settings and there are options for the behavior of new tabs.

While in dolphin hit menu - more - settings- dolphin settings.
In there you will see new tab settings, open in background, and open in new tab.

When I click on "new tab settings", I only get the option of "showing a bookmarks bar". This doesn't do it.
The "open in new tab" option is to make it so that any links you click on open in a new tab. So, this isn't it either.
The third option you mentioned isn't it either. "Open in new window" is to make any new WINDOWS that you open, open behind the current window rather than on top of the current window. So none of those are correct.
