Dophin browser slowdown

I tried Dolphin yesterday. I liked the pinch-zoom (I came from iphone), but I noticed that if I had a few windows open, it REALLY slowed down. The default browser doesn't seem to suffer from this problem. My old iphone didn't either. I could have 5 windows open no problem. As a result, I uninstalled Dolphin. Anyone else notice that?

I actually stopped using Dolphin recently when I realized it was the reason for my horrible battery life.

I went all day yesterday only using the default browser and got about 8 hours.

With dolphin I was lucky to get 3.

I actually tested in the middle of the day to see if it was my imagination.

I loaded a page in dolphin and could actually see the battery level go down as it was loading a page.

A viable alternative with pinch zoom is xScope (has both free and pay versions). I switched from Dolphin to xSope and have been quite satisfied. The developer is very responsive to user feedback.

i second xScope...dev is very willing to listen to suggestions and takes feedback very well.

i like the single finger zooming, and if you continuously tap the window, it continuously keeps zooming in...

it's a little bland looking right now, but he's working with a designer to help the look
