Root do's and don'ts before installing xposed framework

I want to install xposed framework on my asus fonepad. I have managed to root the device with help of videos and instructions. Now i want to know the steps for installing xposed framework. I'm a newbie at these things. I need your help in installing xposed framework safely in fonepad without bricking it. Please reply me soon with steps or links or tutorials and list of things to do before installing xposed framework.

There's really nothing to it if you already have root and are at least at Android 4.0.3 (late ICS). Just install the latest stable repository (aka, "repo") as a normal side-loaded app. Just be aware that unlike the Google Play store, Xposed will let you download modules that may be incompatible with your device. Be sure you read and understand the description before enabl
 
Take a backup using your custom recovery, aka a "nandroid" backup. That will back up the ROM. You would be well advised to do this before any system modification.

I am assuming that you do have a custom recovery. Otherwise no, there isn't.
