Do you know how I can turn off the double tap lock on my GT-S5300, once someone calls me and I want to turn on the speaker I always need to "double tap" the screen to unlock it 1st. Carrier is Southern phones. Thanks

I searched and found these potential solutions:

- Go to Settings -> Location & Security -> Set up screen lock and choose a different locking scheme such as pattern or password...or "None".

- Go to Settings -> Motion -> Double tap. Disable.

- You may have an app called "tap tap". Disable and uninstall it.

- In the Phone app if you hit Menu there may be a Settings menu. Look for Auto screen off during calls

I suspect you may be able to adjust the display timeout and improve the situation. Settings -> Display -> Screen timeout.

You could also try using the power button to bring the screen up. That may work on some phones.

This widget offers a wake lock option to prevent the screen timing out.

Of course, any of the solutions that involve keeping the screen on will drain your battery faster.
